Before mixed-use buildings gained prominence in the construction industry, our Operations Manager (Brandon Murray) was running projects for one of the largest residential HVAC contractors in the region; whilst our Owner/President Bart Murray was using generations of sheet metal knowledge in every aspect of the commercial market imaginable. They reunited just in time to combine their respective experience on projects that demanded knowledge of both residential and commercial HVAC.

Past Projects
Although we've done hundreds of projects over the years, here are a few recent examples that we're proud of:
Oakland Children’s Hospital
In 2008 we were instrumental in some key HVAC renovations; providing custom air handling with reheat coils, hydronic piping and an added chiller to one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation.
Glashaus
A multi-family building for Pulte Homes in Emeryville, and one of our many podium projects. Two levels of parking with garage exhaust, and five stories of condominiums.
H2 Hotel
One of our upcoming projects that just broke ground, this four star hotel is pursuing LEED Gold certification. We’re installing a state of the art Daikin VRV system. This hotel will boast a full commercial kitchen with grease ducting. Monarch is strategically located to be able to do projects from Healdsburg all the way to Burlingame.
Jack London Gateway A LEED Silver Senior Housing development. Monarch provided HVAC for the 70 living units, corridor ventilation, garage exhaust, architectural sheet metal, pre-finished soffit panels and metal roofing.
California Maritime Academy
This was a raised floor system consisting of packaged, air-cooled rooftop equipment with under-floor fan-powered terminal units with reheat coils
Hot water hydronic system with a packaged, water-tube boiler.
Split System Heat Pumps (for computer and data rooms).
